Vicetone drops new single 'Over Too Soon' on Monstercat

Dutch electronic music duo Vicetone have a new single out on 8 May titled 'Over Too Soon'. It comes on the Monstercat label and continues the group's exploration of emotional themes in dance music.
Vicetone, made up of longtime collaborators Ruben den Boer and Victor Pool, has been active in the scene for more than a decade. Over the course of their career, the duo has accumulated over a billion streams and received multiple platinum and gold certifications, developed a global fan base and recently built a custom recording studio in Nashville
In April, Vicetone debuted their new live concept, PROJECT V, during performances in Chengdu and Guangzhou, China, with live collaborations with traditional Chinese musicians. It incorporated elements of both Eastern and Western music styles and represented a new direction for their live shows.
Says Vicetone, "'This record is about that bittersweet feeling when you're seeing someone new for a while and it ends too soon—even if it may have never worked out. We love the emotion behind the vocal and wanted the music to invoke that feeling of bittersweet, melancholic gratitude."
