The duo's first indie dance EP features a breakbeat remix by Marc DePulse
The Brazilian duo BINARYH releases today their newest EP Sarcasm on the German label JEAHMON! Records — a platform curated by Marc DePulse, which in 2024 occupied the 5th position among the best-selling labels on Beatport.
Composed of two tracks, Sarcasm (Original Mix) and Sarcasm (Marc DePulse Remix), the EP reveals a new facet of BINARYH, marked by the combination of melodic depth and contagious energy.
The main track, Sarcasm, conveys a motivational and energetic message. The song's lyrics encapsulate determination, confidence in hard work and overcoming, reinforcing the duo's shortcomings and emotional connection.
Musically, Sarcasm is an intense indie dance track (the first of its kind in BINARYH's catalog). Its pulsating rhythmic base and subtle percussions evolve into a growing melody, enriched by enigmatic vocals and deep synthesizers. The track's construction is marked by continuous tension, culminating in an energetic and efficient climax, accurately translating the sound of the duo's new artistic phase.
The EP gains a new dimension with the remix by Marc DePulse, a German artist with over 25 years of experience. Known for his unique sound identity and conceptual approach to music, Marc offers an atmospheric and introspective reinterpretation of Sarcasm. Inspired by the work of British artist Burial, Marc incorporates breakbeat elements and ethereal textures, transforming the track into an expansive and melancholic experience, without losing the hypnotic essence of the original.
