Spanish House Pioneers Chus & Ceballos Reimagine Toni Rios’ Classic 'Closer To You'

Electronic music imprint AXEPT reaches a landmark milestone with its 50th release as legendary Spanish duo Chus & Ceballos join forces with Toni Rios and Niveska to reinterpret the iconic ‘Closer To You’, a celebrated record that first captured global dance floors in 2018 via BluFin Records.

For one of Spain’s most influential electronic music acts, the release arrives at a deeply meaningful moment in their narrative. Following a five-year hiatus that began during the pandemic, DJ Chus and Pablo Ceballos reunited in 2026 for their global Reunion Tour across more than 50 cities, accompanied by their comeback single ‘Somos Uno’. With ‘Closer To You’, the pioneers of the Iberican Sound bring an unmistakable melodic house energy to the track, weaving hypnotic grooves, organic percussion, and atmospheric textures around Niveska’s timeless vocal performance.

The 50th catalog entry also highlights the rapid evolution of AXEPT, the Berlin-based record label launched in 2024 by DJ and producer Yulia Niko.
