Rezz & Subtronics Release New Single ‘Black Ice’

January 9, 2024 – Electronic visionaries Rezz and Subtronics have come together to release their new collaboration ‘Black Ice’ out now via HypnoVizion & Cyclops Recordings.

The anticipated follow-up to their 2022 collaboration ‘Puzzle Box’, ‘Black Ice’ is an addictive new favorite for Rezz and Subtronics fans alike. Resonating with each of their distinctive styles, ‘Black Ice’ slithers through climactic builds and ominous twists and turns as the pair experiment with textured layers and psychoactive elements. A multitudinous blend of genres, ‘Black Ice’ is daringly bold with two dynamic drops that lend themselves to Subtronics’ leftfield dubstep and Rezz’s mid-tempo signatures, with a touch of bass house added for good measure. A testament to their metamorphic capabilities as collaborators, Rezz and Subtronics have combined their trademarks into a cohesive yet mind-bending creation with ‘Black Ice’.

Serving as both artists’ first release of the year, Rezz is coming off a colossal 2023 marked by her acclaimed goth-themed IT’S NOT A PHASE EP, sold-out headline shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Brooklyn Mirage, and the live debut of REZZMAU5 at VELD Music Festival. 2024 will see new releases and merch from Rezz, and festival appearances at EDC Mexico, Beyond Wonderland, ILLfest, Sol Fest, and more.

Subtronics also sought new heights in 2023, with collaborations alongside Excision and Ganja White Night, and his massive headline ANTIFRACTAL Tour, while landing DJ Mag North America’s “DJ Of The Year” and securing the cover of Pollstar after landing at #75 on the “Top North American Tours Mid Year Reports”. This year, Subtronics will head out on his headline Tesseract Tour, which includes arenas like Barclay’s Center and State Farm Arena, along with the upcoming release of his sophomore album.
