Refuge NYC drops exclusive seven-hour Seth Troxler B2B Victor Calderone mix to launch SoundCloud channel
Brooklyn's music-first haven kicks off its first anniversary celebrations with a mammoth live recording from an unannounced after-hours session.
Refuge NYC is officially taking its floor-focused ethos beyond the dancefloor. Celebrating a successful first year in Brooklyn, the intimate 500-capacity spot has launched a brand-new SoundCloud channel dedicated to sharing exclusive live sets—kicking things off with a sprawling seven-hour B2B from Seth Troxler and Victor Calderone.
Recorded live during a recent, unannounced after-hours session at the club, the monster set captures the raw energy of two generations of house and techno royalty going back-to-back. The new channel aims to spotlight Refuge’s dedication to long-form DJing, offering heads a chance to stream unreleased room audio built specifically around the venue’s custom-built REX analogue sound system.
“Refuge represents everything I believe a dance floor should embody: freedom, connection, and the music,” says resident Victor Calderone. “Being completely locked in with Seth for a seven-hour B2B felt like the perfect expression of that. I’m glad we captured the night and can now share the set, start to finish.”
Nestled between East Williamsburg and Bushwick, Refuge has quickly carved out a niche in New York's competitive nightlife circuit by stripping back modern club bloat—strictly operating with a music-first policy, zero VIP sections, and no bottle service.
The mix drop serves as the prelude to a stacked September anniversary program running from September 5–27. Highlights across the month-long celebration include a 12-hour marathon from David Morales, an open-to-close set from Deep Dish, and appearances by The Martinez Brothers, Chris Liebing, Two Shell, Natasha Diggs, Ahadadream, Rodriguez Jr. (Live), and Brothers Macklovitch (A-Trak & Dave 1).
