Refuge NYC announces 72-hour anniversary marathon from 25–27 September
Brooklyn venue Refuge NYC will hold a 72-hour non-stop event from 25th to 27th September to close out its first anniversary season.
The lineup includes a 12-hour open-to-close set from Deep Dish, along with performances from Ragie Ban, John DiMatteo, Shorty, Victor Calderone and Brothers Macklovitch (A-Trak and Dave 1 of Chromeo).
Refuge NYC opened a year ago and has a 500-capacity room located in East Williamsburg/Bushwick. The venue was founded by promoter John DiMatteo and sound engineer Craig "Shorty" Bernabeu, and operates without VIP sections or bottle service. Its sound system, a custom-built four-point analogue setup, was developed with acoustic engineer Al Fierstein. In its first year the venue drew attendees from over 1,300 cities across 73 countries.
The finale follows a run of anniversary season dates that included Two Shell, Chris Liebing, Ahadadream and others.
Refuge NYC has also launched a SoundCloud channel featuring live recordings from the venue, including a seven-hour back-to-back set from Seth Troxler and Victor Calderone.
