Ocaso Festival
Review - Photo Gallery
Ocaso is a paradisiacal escape to the coastal jungles of Costa Rica with a world class soundtrack. Performing this year from Jan 6-9th, 2023 were the likes of Solomun, Adriatique, Michael Bibi, Magdalena, ChloƩ Caillet and more.
They all play in some truly unique locations from jungle parties to beach afterparties and a purpose built main stage in the local town. This means there is no conflict of interests and everyone gets to see every artist and give them their full attention.
There were plenty of standouts, too, Michael Bibi played on the Friday night and dropped plenty of pumped tech house vibes that really got things going on a good footing and amped up the crowd. They are friendly and from all over the world with smiling faces and warm charm that makes the festival feel all the more communal and special. Bob Moses played a perfectly pitched set of his signature deep, wavy, enchanting sodas that enervating sounded better than in this place and Solomun played for 12 hours till mid-morning, with everyone eating out of his hand as he wooed and seduced us all with his skills.
There is plenty to do in the local town of Tamarindo which is famous for its delicious seafood offerings and friendly locals.
Here are some photos that capture the unique spirit of beauty of this great winter getaway.
