Miguelle & Tons unveil Two and a Half Cats’ first ever VA ‘Cat Calls Vol. 1’
With fresh music from Los Gatos themselves plus Manu Desrets, II Faces, and more.
Harnessing the influences and sounds of the Miami-based duo’s label and parties, the six-track VA offers a rich dive into the sound and world of Two and a Half Cats, set for release on 31st July 2024.
From their adopted home of Miami to their summer base of Ibiza and everywhere in between, Venezuelan duo Miguelle & Tons are showcasing exactly why they’re in rising global demand with appearances for the likes of Solid Grooves at DC10 and Off Sonar, plus Playa Soleil alongside Paco Osuna and 2024’s instalment of Gates Of Agartha featuring as just a few notable highlights from recent weeks. However, regardless of location, their primary focus is always their longstanding event series and blossoming label, Two and a Half Cats - with their recent return to Miami for the latest showcase at Jolene Soundroom adding another sold-out edition to their growing series. Ahead of their three-date Ibiza run at Blue Martin, ‘the cats’ curate and launch a new VA project on the label, ‘Cat Calls’, highlighting a selection of rising stars from around the globe who represent the sound of the label.
Opening the release with their own material on ‘Ten Cuidado’ featuring Original Pirates, delivering more trademark grooves infused with salsa and Latin rhythms, the release offers a slick selection of tracks spanning the house sphere. French duo II Faces serve up the vibrant ‘Party Time’, while Argentina’s Manu Desrets fuses blissful tones with hooky vocal snippets on ‘Chori Chori’. Fellow 305 resident Andy Martinez brings the funk on ‘Loving Life’ featuring Ntem, while Venezuela’s WOST links with MC TH for the bubbling ‘Eu Vicio Rapido’, before closing the show via UK talent Ollie BC’s hazy, late-night excursion on ‘Feel You’.
