Today, Japanese-Australian sibling electronic duo Lastlings release their new single ‘Noise’, out now on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue Records. Along with the single, Lastlings have announced their forthcoming sophomore album Perfect World, due out June 23, 2023.

Serving as the third single off their upcoming album, ‘Noise’ continues where previous singles 'Get What You Want' and ‘Holding Me Like Water’ left off, building a therapeutic soundtrack to overcome heartbreak. A gentle balance of hope and melancholy, ‘Noise’ captivates with its avant-garde blend of electronic, indie, and pop sensibilities. Crafting a heartfelt tale of yearning for lost love, Josh’s euphoric synth-lead production beautifully surrounds Amy’s wistful vocals as she sings, “If you’re ready come and get me, cause I’ll never let you go”. Intoxicating from start to finish, ‘Noise’ encapsulates the eloquence and sophistication of their lyrical and sonic prowess.

Regarding the track, Amy said “Noise is about reminiscing on an old relationship. The good memories. Talking late at night. Going to raves together. Dancing. All the arguing and making up. All the…noise.”

Josh added, “We wanted to have a moment in the song that people would listen to and feel equal parts surprised, euphoric and like all the weight of the world had been lifted off their shoulders.”

With their forthcoming album Perfect World, Lastlings explore the mental and emotional hurdles that come with heartache and romantic loss. Like its predecessor, Lastlings’ sophomore album is deeply thematic and unconditionally personal, weaving a thorough storyline that transverses feelings of insecurity and vulnerability over the course of its 12 tracks. Told through Amy’s perspective, Perfect World reflects her elegant ability to craft empathetic and relatable stories through song.

Japanese-Australian brother/sister duo Josh and Amy Dowdle have garnered an international reputation as a refreshing live electronic act Lastlings. Their talents combined on and off stage, the pair have built a sensational catalog of Amy’s mesmerizing vocals complemented by Josh’s indie electronic production. Releasing two EPs to early acclaim, the duo signed to Astralwerks and RÜFÜS DU SOL's Rose Avenue with their dynamic body of work capturing the dichotomy between the duo so perfectly, transporting listeners on a cosmic journey with each release.

Lastlings have worked with producers like SG Lewis and toured with industry giants like Bob Moses and Glass Animals. Their captivating live show, a three piece setup featuring Josh on keys and guitar, a live drummer, and Amy on vocals, has led the duo to play iconic venues like Colorado's Red Rocks, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium, Coachella's DoLaB stage, 88Rising’s Head In The Clouds festival, and sold out their own headline shows throughout the US and Australia. They’ve released a number of epic live performance videos showcasing their entracing live capabilities, shot on stunning landscapes throughout Australia.
