Josh Baker finally releases viral house ID ‘My Place’ with Poppy Baskcomb

After months of dominating dancefloors before its official release, Josh Baker has finally dropped ‘My Place’, his collaboration with vocalist Poppy Baskcomb. Released via Bakers Dozen, the track arrives after becoming one of the most requested records in the Manchester producer’s sets throughout 2026.

Built around some stunning vocals, a rolling bassline, and piano-led house production, ‘My Place’ is driven by Baskcomb’s instantly recognizable topline. Long before landing on streaming platforms, the record had already become a crowd favorite, with festival audiences singing the chorus back to Baker at Coachella, Factory Town, Miami Music Week, Parklife and, most recently, Amnesia Ibiza, where he debuted his first You&Me residency.

“‘My Place’ has been one of those records that seemed to connect on the dancefloor from the moment I started playing it,” Baker says. “People have been singing it back for months now. From the Amnesia Terrace to Coachella and EDC in the States, it’s had some huge moments already. I loved working with Poppy. It was one of those sessions where we knew within a couple of hours that we had something.”

Baskcomb, whose catalogue includes collaborations with artists including Tiësto, Sonny Fodera, Anyma, Meduza and Oliver Heldens, describes the single as “an Ibiza-inspired house record” that feels equally suited to sunset sessions and late-night dancefloors.

The release coincides with a pivotal moment for Baker. This week he launched his debut You&Me residency at Amnesia, taking over the Ibiza institution every Thursday through October. The opening party featured a back-to-back set with Prospa alongside Cloonee, Job De Jong, JWave, Yass and Mali, while the rest of the season will bring appearances from Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Luciano, KETTAMA, Max Dean, Enzo Siragusa, SAOIRSE, Eliza Rose, Interplanetary Criminal, Moxie and Shanti Celeste, among others.

It continues what’s already been Baker’s biggest year to date. Following tours across Australia, Asia and North America, six Coachella performances and appearances at Miami Music Week, his summer schedule includes Awakenings Festival, Creamfields, Reading & Leeds, Hide&Seek Festival, London’s Magazine and New York’s Knockdown Center, before returning home for his largest-ever Warehouse Project headline shows, which sold out in five minutes.

Alongside his work as a producer and DJ, Baker also runs Bakers Dozen, founded the producer education platform SYNTHO and co-created Hide&Seek Festival, further cementing his growing influence beyond the booth.
