Grammy® award-nominated producer Mild Minds mints new record imprint MOODS INTL.

MAY 15 2024 - LOS ANGELES | GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer and musician Benjamin David, AKA Mild Minds, has taken the leap to launch his own record imprint in the namesake of his debut album, called MOODS INTL..

Following the growth of his success under the Mild Minds project, Benjamin has finalized an agreement with his partners to establish MOODS INTL.. The imprint is set to provide both a launching pad and a home for both new and established artists, along with the experimental sounds of Mild Minds' expanding club alter-egos. The launch of MOODS INTL. continues a tenure of Mild Minds releasing via ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective, now seeing Benjamin draw upon his experience spanning nearly two decades to expand his influence with his own label.

Liberated by the freedom to make his own creative choices in the music he releases, MOODS INTL. will enable the multi-talented instrumentalist and producer to apply his signature sound to an increasingly diverse range of genres. The label intends to release everything from house and UK garage, to more nuanced and emotional electronica.

After observing a shift in the zeitgeist of releasing music, Benjamin David decided to apply his observations on the current landscape to establish a platform intended to be a launchpad for artists to have a career they can stay in control of. With now being a time where differentiation is crucial to success as a musician, MOODS INTL. is intended to empower artists’ own visions without the constraints at times imposed by the major record label systems.

The first release set to make its way to listeners on the label is “U REALLY HURT ME” by LUV HRTS, a collaborative project between Mild Minds and Victor Pakpour of alt-indie outfit Ruby Haunt to simultaneously make its debut.

Set for release on May 22nd, 2024 - the release of “U REALLY HURT ME” marks the next chapter in Benjamin David’s musical endeavors with MOODS INTL..
