CALI LANAUZE

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a small island in the Caribbean, not many people might associate his gloomy and eclectic rhythms with Caribbean roots. However, Cali started in the dance music industry very young. At the age of 15, he already started to release his productions, quickly reaching the support of great electronic icons. At a young age, his influences and the support he got in the electronic music culture were enormous. Artists like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Radio Slave, and Davide Squillace played his tracks. Producing and promoting events on his native island of Puerto Rico has been another achievement for the artist.

He monthly curates line-ups and shares decks alongside artists like Dixon, Art Department, Guy Gerber, Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge, DJ Tennis, and many more.

Apart from this, Cali has been able to release on some of the most respected labels in the world, such as Audiofly's Flying Circus, Visionquest, My Favorite Robot, Serialism, Sleep is Commercial, and others. Featuring tracks that reach Beatport top 100 regularly. Recently, Cali has been developing his sound in the Puerto Rican scene. While this is happening, the artist has played in various clubs such as Flash (Washington DC), Output (NYC), Vertigo (Toronto), Hardpop and Casa Cobra (Mexico), and Pacha (Barcelona), among others. In 2017, he announced the release of 'Opulence' imprint, featuring artists like Roman Flugel, Ryan Crosson, SIT, Dan Ghenacia, and Martin Buttrich. Fast forward to 2022 sees Cali's revival and his collaboration with Visionquest boss Ryan Crosson, his long-awaited debut album, his new move with Opulence, and more.

Nacido en San Juan, Puerto Rico una pequeña isla en el Caribe, la cual no mucha gente podría asociar con sus ritmos sombríos y eclécticos con raíces caribeñas. Sin embargo, Cali inició a muy temprana edad en la industria de la música dance, a sus 15 años lanzaba su música la cual rápidamente alcanzó el apoyo de grandes iconos de la electrónica. Artistas como Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Radio Slave, Davide Squillace, solo por nombrar algunos, pinchaban sus temas.

Producir y promover eventos en su isla natal de Puerto Rico es otro de sus logros, seleccionando lineups mensuales y compartiendo decks con DJ’s como Dixon, Art Department, Guy Gerber, Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge, Dj Tennis y muchos más.

A su corta edad, ha podido lanzar en algunos de los sellos más respetados del mundo como: Flying Circus de Audiofly, Visionquest, My Favourite Robot, Serialism, Sleep is Commercial y otros. Con pistas que visitan el top 100 de Beatport de forma regular.

Recientemente, Cali ha estado a punto de desarrollar su sonido en la escena de Puerto Rico, mientras eso va sucediendo este artista ha pinchado en diversos clubs como: Flash (Washington DC), Output (NYC), Vertigo (Toronto), Hardpop y Casa Cobra (México), y Pacha en Barcelona, entre otros.
