Jukebox: 15 years in the making

Over the past 15 years, Jukebox has evolved from a small press agency servicing local underground techno events, to a full 360 PR and marketing agency, working with some of the biggest festivals, artists and labels all over the world and shows no sign of slowing down.

From its humble beginnings as a one man band, founded and driven by Alex Jukes from his bedroom in Leeds, Jukebox now boasts one of the best teams in the industry, with 30 staff working across 8 divisions and has since established itself as one of the world's leading PR and marketing agencies.

Operating globally, Jukebox works with some of the biggest clients across the music, nightlife, event, tech, Web3 and lifestyle industries, always remaining at the forefront of the marketing sector with a reputation for delivering exceptional results across everything they do.

The past 12 months have seen the launch of three new divisions across the company; Jukebox 3.0, focusing on the full spectrum of the WEB3 sector, having already worked on some huge projects which have quickly propelled the company to one of the top 5 agencies worldwide working across this space; Tribes TV, Jukebox’s very own content production agency, boasting a network of over 250m dedicated music and event fans worldwide across multiple platforms, with some incredibly exciting plans in the pipeline including new Podcast series’, documentaries, behind the scenes event content and much much more; and most recently the Brand Partnerships & Sponsorship division, which has already exploded into life, delivering activations and partnerships between some of the world’s biggest brands and festivals. Jukebox are excited to announce that experienced industry veteran Alexandra Annable, recently included on the judging panel for the PRmoment awards, has taken on the role of Head of Brand Partnerships & Sponsorship.

Alex Jukes, the founder of Jukebox says, “The last 15 years have been amazing and in particular the last 12 months. We have brought in some really top tier talent to work with us and expanded for the 4th year in a row. To think this all started in my bedroom 15 years ago and now we are a global company working with the biggest brands in electronic music and actively driving forward game-changing ways to promote music and events is pretty epic.”

Alongside this, Jukebox’s longstanding PR divisions have continued to expand, with an ever growing client base which includes some of the biggest and best events, festivals, venues, labels and artists covering every corner of the globe, including EXIT Festival, Amnesia Ibiza, Joseph Capriati, Hideout Festival, Recondite, Ultra Europe, Framework LA, ARTBAT, Echoes From Agartha, Prunk, SXM Festival, Terminal V, Timewarp, Darius Syrossian, Afterlife, Pleasurekraft, Dombresky, Notion and many more.

But perhaps the most exciting area of growth across the agency has been within Jukebox’s social media network; The Tribes. Established in 2018, Jukebox were the first agency anywhere in the world to harness the power of social communities to drive and deliver digital, data driven campaigns for music and events, building an exclusive network of highly engaged, organically followed music focussed channels across Instagram, leading the way with what has arguably been one of, if not the most disruptive form of marketing within the music and events sectors since the Internet first began.

Fast forward 5+ years later and The Tribes network now includes over 250 of the biggest and best engaged music communities covering the entire music spectrum, as well as over 200 influencers and creators across Instagram and TikTok, having delivered over 1500 campaigns since its inception for a huge range of labels, artists, events and festivals the world over.

With an exclusive network and unrivalled offering, Jukebox and The Tribes have been able to remain at the forefront of the industry in an increasingly competitive market, delivering near 1 billion reach across all campaigns in 2023 alone and have now launched the next iteration of the network, taking The Tribes further into the event sector with their ‘Live At Your Event’ and ‘Full Event Takeover’ offerings, providing a full 360 content marketing solution which will see The Tribes brand further cemented into the live event space with some huge and exciting partnerships already locked in across some of the world’s biggest events and festivals in 2024.

Says Managing Director, Josh Karpf: “With the music and event marketing landscape changing more frequently and faster than ever before, we are constantly looking at new and exciting ways to promote and market events all over the world, providing 360 content and marketing solutions for our clients that no one else can deliver. The Tribes has been, without question, one of the biggest disruptors to the wider music and event marketing space in recent years and we could not be more excited to elevate the brand and network to its next stage, further embedding the brand alongside some of the best events around the world. We have some very exciting announcements in the pipeline and we just cannot wait for you to see what we have in store next.”

With the PR industry continuing to move and evolve at an alarming rate, Jukebox has always been able to stay one step ahead of the competition, delivering innovative, out of the box strategies and ideas, combining typical PR with digital and social activations to make their campaigns really cut through.

With a proven track record and exceptional reputation, companies the world over trust Jukebox to deliver on their behalf. Its team has a broad and vast wealth of experience across the entire music and events sector, working together to identify and connect with the right audience in the right way, building close and lasting connections and communities better than anyone in the entertainment sector.

If the last 15 years are anything to go by, the next 15 should be something very special!
